Don’t Forget To Do Good

Scripture

Hebrews 13:16 (The Living Bible)

Don’t forget to do good and to share what you have with those in need, for such sacrifices are very pleasing to [God].

Consider

It’s an interesting statement: Don’t forget to do good. In other words, remind yourself to follow God’s ways. Don’t get caught up in your own agenda, but consider what good and right and helpful action you might take in every situation and relationship.

Ezekiel 11:19-20 (New Living Translation)

“And I will give them singleness of heart and put a new spirit within them. I will take away their stony, stubborn heart and give them a tender, responsive heart, so they will obey my decrees and regulations.”

Consider

God’s words quoted by Jeremiah and Ezekiel encapsulate a problem we still suffer today—we have stubborn hearts that prefer the ways of sin to God’s ways.
