Spirit Enemies

Mt Hiking Path-210

Scripture

Psalm 5:8 (New Living Translation)

Lead me in the right path, O LORD, or my enemies will conquer me. Make your way plain for me to follow.

Consider

If I believe that someone who injures me in a relationship conflict is my enemy, then my thinking is too small.

Our enemies are the rebellious spirits who hate God and oppose his rule. They attack him by attacking what he loves—us—and they target our relationships because we are vulnerable in our need for love and connection with other people.

Reckoning Our Worth

Scale Compares Men-230

Scripture

Galatians 5:25-26 (New Living Translation)

Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit's leading in every part of our lives. Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.

Consider

Conceit and envy are flip sides of the same belief: My value as a person depends on how well my life compares with yours. Whether we feel superior to others or inferior, those feelings indicate an area in our lives that is still submitted to the world's leading rather than to the Spirit's.
