On Sunday, March 23, 2014, I will be speaking at Bodega Bay Church in beautiful Bodega Bay, California.
My topic is Resentment—why it’s bad for our relationships and how we can protect ourselves from its destructive influence. This presentation will kick off a six-week class on forgiveness, in which I will lead participants through readings and discussions from my book, A Devotional Walk with Forgiveness. The class meets Thursday nights, beginning March 27, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the church.
I am thrilled at this opportunity to share my ministry about forgiveness with a church community who captured my heart several years ago. Bodega Bay has long been a favorite retreat vacation for my family, but we only recently discovered this little church, and quite by chance. As soon as we walked into the sanctuary, both my husband and I felt the unmistakable presence of the Holy Spirit. On every visit we have been blessed by the warm welcome of the church members and the powerful messages that are always preached with honesty, humor, and faithfulness to Scripture.
I am grateful to pastors Jerry Lites, Pat Parks, and Ruben Sanchez for inviting me to speak and for gathering participants for my forgiveness class. Please pray that God will use these engagements to bring truth and healing to those who come to study His Word on forgiveness.
