THE PROPHECY

Isaiah 9:6-7a NKJV

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end.

THE FULFILLMENT

Luke 2:10-14 NKJV

Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

MY RESPONSE

O God our Father, help me to receive your perfect gift of Jesus. Give me wisdom to understand and faith to believe that Jesus came to earth for my sake, to make me whole, and to teach me how to live a new life of goodness and truth for You. I sing praise for your Holy Spirit who gives me breath and for such love that You left heaven, took on flesh, and died in my place so that I might enjoy friendship with You forever.
