Romans 8:26-27 NLT
And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.
Consider
Have you ever prayed and prayed for an outcome until you began to wonder if God was even listening? When you don’t get the answer to prayer that you want or expect, it may be that the Holy Spirit is praying something different.

2 Timothy 1:6-7 NKJV
Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Consider
In this letter to Timothy, Paul reminds his young friend not to give in to fear but to stand firm as God’s person in the face of political persecution and personal attacks. Remember your faith, he tells Timothy, and let God’s grace and gifting define who you are and how you behave. That’s good advice for any follower of Christ.

You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.
Consider
When we’ve been hurt in a relationship, we naturally want justice. We may seek punishment for the offender, compensation for our injury, or an apology for what we have suffered. Perhaps more than anything, we want to set the record straight. We need the relief of saying out loud what happened to us and to know that our truth has been heard, believed, and valued by another human being.

Deuteronomy 17:6 NLT
Never put a person to death on the testimony of only one witness. There must always be two or three witnesses.
Consider
Accusations leveled against others are always serious business. God’s law protected innocent people from wrongful condemnation by requiring the testimony of more than one witness. We can take this warning to a personal level and realize that we often accuse people with only our own perceptions to guide us. Unfortunately, these perceptions are subject to a number of influences that can distort our opinions and memories of an event.

Consider
A powerful stumbling block to forgiving is our belief that someone has robbed us of precious time. We may have spent years in an abusive or unhappy relationship feeling angry, afraid, and helpless. We may have survived childhood wounding only to sacrifice adult years to low self-esteem, underachievement, addictions, or poor relationship choices. We may be convinced that until our lost time is restored to us, we can’t consider forgiving the person who cheated us.
